Three Decades of Art

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Nashville-based blues-rock group The All New and Improved Patented Repeating Action Blues Band is officially reviving its long-lost 1990s analog catalog. After thirty years in storage, the band’s remastered recordings are now available on all major streaming platforms. The release highlights the group's raw, DIY sound and their signature track, “Repeating Action Blues,” originally recorded in 1993.
The band, composed of cousins Tony, Robert, and Aaron Evola, formed in the Nashville underground scene. Their name and lead single were inspired by a 19th-century mechanical slogan found inside an old M. Shulz & Company piano during their debut sessions. The improvised lyrics for “Repeating Action Blues” were pulled directly from the piano’s carvings and objects in the room, capturing the spontaneous energy that defines the group.
“We never expected anyone outside our circle to hear these recordings,” says founding member Tony Evola. “Seeing this catalog come to life after thirty years is surreal.” Robert Evola adds, “That piano slogan was a joke that turned into a song and then a band name. It’s wild to see new listeners finally discover that moment from 1993.”
The music is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube. For press inquiries and interviews, contact: Spiritual Medicine Records at spiritualmedicinerecords@gmail.com.
Our Crew

A powerhouse wielding soaring trumpet lines and gritty blues riffs. His decade-spanning energy fuels the raw, garage-soul fire of The All New and Improved Patented Repeating Action Blues Band.

Keys / Saxophone / Vocals – Rob Evola
The melodic architect on keys and brass. His searing saxophone runs and vintage piano textures define the group’s sound, while his gritty, soulful vocals lead the charge for this blues institution.

The rhythmic heartbeat and vocal engine. His explosive percussion, soulful singing, and relentless groove supply the high-voltage energy at the core of this Nashville collective.

The sonic anchor. Driving the low-end with heavy groove and melodic instinct, John grounded the band’s sound in warmth and weight.

Architect of the electric howl. His searing leads and swampy harmonica wails have fueled the vintage grit of The All New and Improved Patented Repeating Action Blues Band.
